The Remote Switch (RSW) on the BatteryPlus35-II is an optional connection that allows you to disconnect power outputs to preserve battery power.
It is a negative (ground) loop switch, meaning it is not powered. A two position (on/off) switch can be wired to the two 6.8mm blade terminals (RSW input) on the right side of the BatteryPlus35-II and then mounted in an accessible location.
When activated, it disconnects power to outputs 2-14 to preserve battery power. Load output 1, which powers the screen or tablet, remains connected if AC or solar power is available, or if the battery voltage is above the low voltage disconnect threshold.
This switch is sometimes referred to as “Winter Mode” or “Storage Mode” and is a simple alternative to ECO mode as it is a hard-wired switch.
