How do I remove the SmartSense sensor from a gas bottle without damaging the rubber pad?

Pull the sensor straight down from the gas bottle.

Dragging or sliding the sensor across the bottom of the bottle might damage the rubber pad. Pulling it straight down will keep the pad in place, so that the sensor can be properly re-attached and that readings will stay accurate.
