Most of the articles are now out of date and advice does not comply with the Australian Standards for wiring of mobile homes, caravans and powered trailers. In essence if you change your setup in any was after November 2023. Eg adding a solar panel, changing over to Lithium Batteries etc your whole electrical installation must meet the new standard.
In essence the batteries must be in a gasketed enclosure if inside the van in a non habitable area such as under the seat or under the bed or outside the van on the frame. Each solar panel if there are three or more must be individually fused and the solar input must have an isolation switch.
Failure to comply with the changes can effect your insurance and make it null and void.
